Zynstra Expands team, Releases Major Product Updates, and Hires Key Leadership to Fuel C-Stores’ Digital Transformation

At Zynstra, we work hard every day to deliver more for our customers.

And in particular, we engage with lots of clients across the retail environment – in grocery, pharmacy, apparel and more. It’s exciting to see how different retail verticals are working to digitally transform their in-store experience, including one of the most active sectors we’ve seen in recent months – Convenience Fuel Retail (CFR).

Fueling CFRs with Zynstra

During the last year, Zynstra has engaged with leading c-stores and travel centers to help them transform their in-store technology: to deliver rapid innovation, lower infrastructure costs, shorter checkout lines, faster transaction times, easier upsell and better experiences for their customers and associates.

For example, Pilot Flying J, the largest operator of travel centers in North America, partnered with Zynstra and NCR to deploy the transformational store architecture solution known as the NCR Software Defined Store (NCR SDS) enabled by Zynstra software. Through this partnership, Pilot Flying J sought to shift its store infrastructure from a hardware-centric to a software-centric environment in which they could gain the ability to increase their speed-of-service, quickly deploy upgrades across its network of stores and add new features and innovations including cloud-enabled services across its chain.

By decoupling store software from store hardware, Zynstra is enabling our customers to deliver software defined stores and truly elevate the customer experience. Wawa, a chain of more than 800 convenience retail stores has similarly recently benefited from this approach by adopting Zynstra’s Virtualized POS Tablet solution and transforming their stores checkout speed.

Our success with convenience and fuel retailers, and the increasing need to drive digital transformation within the physical store is driving us to do more in support of our customers.

Zynstra expands team and hires Eric Smith as VP Convenience Fuel Retail NA

Zynstra is at our heart a software business designed to serve customers with our technology.  In the last 6 months Zynstra has increased both the Customer Success and R&D teams by over 20%.

In addition, Zynstra is delighted to welcome Eric Smith to the team. Eric is an experienced sales leader within the retail software industry with detailed knowledge of the convenience fuel retail sector. Eric will be helping Zynstra further enhance our value proposition to best serve our customers and will be responsible for delivering commercial success in this sector.

Zynstra Announces New Product Changes to Accelerate Digital Transformation in the Store

We’re also excited to announce that Zynstra has made Generally Available our latest product release. As a software product company, innovation is core to our business and, we’re delighted to have the latest iteration of our product available to all customers.

Among other features in the release, Zynstra’s newly released Control Console offers a single user interface for customers to carry out deployment and monitoring activities on their distributed Intelligent Edge Servers across all stores.

Within the Control Console release, retailers benefit from key capabilities including:

Monitoring – Key information is collected and prioritized, making it easier to see the current status of any store environment

Provisioning – based on pre-defined store models, the Control Console creates a new instance of a store server configuration with just a few mouse clicks

Commissioning – Configure, install and localize services including virtualized POS, back office applications, and network settings.

In addition, Zynstra has launched a number of other new features including:

A new installation tool that accelerates the roll out of virtualized POS applications to existing POS devices

A new framework that further automates POS peripheral set up

A scheduling engine that delivers more flexibility to customize snapshot schedules across a distributed store estate.

These powerful new additions will further streamline and accelerate the transformation of existing in-store devices and applications to maximize store revenue capabilities for our customers.
