Case Study

Managed hybrid IT
Our IT strategy is deliberately Hybrid, running local IT for core services but using public cloud services for applications used by our mobile staff to improve accessibility, cost point and resilience. Delivered as a service it frees our IT resource to focus on projects that enable our business.

Local cloud managed server appliance
We wanted to keep control of our User credentials and retain local file and print management capability. We selected the Z1420 SMB IT appliance to run these workloads on-premise but delivered to us as a service with a cloud based DR capability. The solution also provides us with SSO to cloud apps and Microsoft Office 365.

High availability cluster
We have chosen to run our critical internal NAV service on Zynstra’s Z1440 Cloud Managed Server Appliances in a High Availability Cluster to ensure optimum accessibility and service levels.

Office 365 for productivity
We moved our on-premise productivity suite including email, Office and file share to Microsoft Office 365 which is integrated with the Zynstra solution. All our cloud hosted files and email is backed up to our local Appliance to give us a single central record under our control.

Managed HP WiFi
As part of our IT refresh and in outsourcing to a manage service the IT admin activity we choose to adopt the HP wifi platform for our HQ to give a complete IT environment.

WINDOWS SERVER 2003 End of Support

Our core services were running on Windows Server 2003 and needed to be upgraded to avoid support risks and improve our efficiency.

Mobile & growing workforce

Our team of consultants and developers are often mobile so we needed to access the best of cloud and on-premise capabilities and scale as we grow.

OPEX price model

We were keen to explore OPEX based pricing models rather than repeat the legacy model of cash hungry capital expenditure which is too inflexible.
