Confidence in our ICT has improved dramatically. Devices boot-up and respond far more quickly. Staff are now engaging with ICT as an enabler to teaching and learning instead of avoiding.

We now have a solution that supports us today and in to the future not just in terms of data but our budget also. We have complete peace of mind knowing that is always secure and up to date. We also know that the solutions can be reinstated in hours from the cloud in the event of an onsite failure. Very few schools have this level of disaster recovery in place.

Secure, collaborative communication
There are now a wider range of laptops and mobile devices on offer for use in classrooms. Plans are in place to develop new teaching skills using the latest tablet devices in classrooms. Also having a cloud based communication platform like Office 365 for education with reverse back-up and Zynstra’s pre-configured security software is enabling staff to work more flexibly and share information effortlessly and securely.

Outdated infrastructure

Our network infrastructure was several years old and after multiple piecemeal updates, complex. This was putting severe load on the network and classroom devices could take several minutes to boot, or to perform simple tasks.

High storage demands

Like all schools, budgets for ICT are limited, especially for capital expenditure. However we also required considerable storage for video content, a key tool for gathering assessment data.

Support flexible working

Our network made moving from classroom to classroom with a laptop very difficult. We were also unable to support offsite working for our staff.
