Dave Ettle (RIP)

Co-Founder and CTO

Dave was a co-founder of Zynstra and, serving as CTO, played an instrumental role in the software, architecture and product development of Zynstra’s cloud management and virtualization technology.

Sadly, Dave passed away as a result of sudden heart attack in late 2017, whilst on Christmas vacation with his family. Dave was a friend and colleague for many of the team for over 25 years, and those who knew him well are both saddened by his loss and comforted by the knowledge they have been privileged to work with a truly brilliant engineer. Dave was one-of-a-kind, loud and opinionated, passionate and argumentative and with the sharpest of intellects. He was also a great family man and friend.

As one of the UK’s leading software engineers from IPL to Cramer and Amdocs, and in jointly founding Zynstra, his legacy is long lived, both through the software he created and the way in which he instilled teams to challenge the norm and innovate. Rest in peace Dave.
