Nick East, CEO
Nick is co-founder and CEO of Zynstra, leading all aspects of the business worldwide.
Prior to Zynstra, Nick was General Manager for the “OSS” business at Amdocs, leading a global team of over 500 people, driving the strategy for the company and working with over 100 telco customers worldwide.
Nick previously led the engineering team for Cramer, a successful software vendor in the telecoms space, joining in the start-up phase before first product release and working in technical and business management roles through the following 8 years prior to acquisition by Amdocs. Roles included responsibility for R&D, Support and Product Management organisations.
Prior to Cramer, Nick worked in data communications products and services for the National Computing Centre, during which time he worked extensively in the US for the Department of Defence and their product vendors.
Dave Ettle, Chief Technology Officer
Dave is co-founder and CTO of Zynstra, responsible for the technology roadmap, architecture and product development organization.
In his previous role, Dave was SVP Product and Technology, responsible for all product development, product management and customer support for the OSS Division of Amdocs.
Prior to this, Dave joined Cramer early in the company’s evolution, leading and growing the product organisation from the development of the first product release, and becoming part of the Cramer executive management team. Dave owned the creation, roadmap and strategy for more than ten products across five major releases, along with the build and growth of the onshore and offshore product and support teams.
Before joining Cramer, Dave spent 14 years in real-time software development and consultancy with one of the UK’s most successful private software houses, IPL.
Brian Buggy, VP Products
Brian is co-founder and VP Products at Zynstra, responsible for the vision, strategy and roadmap of the Zynstra product suite.
Previously, Brian was VP OSS Strategy at Amdocs, and a thought leader and trusted advisor at the most senior executive levels with telecoms customers, industry forums and analysts. Brian’s industry knowledge led him to key roles in corporate strategy process, including evaluation of mergers and acquisitions in the telecoms software domain.
Prior to Amdocs, Brian was the first employee at Cramer, and a driving force in most of the key customer engagements throughout the growth of the business, holding a global role in key pre- and post-sales customer activities.
During the growth of Cramer, Brian held roles leading delivery, product management and technical sales organisations.
Prior to Cramer, Brian held technical roles at Siemens Databit and IPL.
Rhett Ryder, VP Business Development
Rhett heads up Business Development at Zynstra, which includes strategic partnerships, geographic expansion and vertical market solutions. Rhett joined Zynstra from The Filter, where he was CEO and co-founder, working with rock legend Peter Gabriel. The Filter delivers cloud based software which specialises in personalised recommendation technologies for media, telecoms and retail.
Prior to The Filter, Rhett has worked in Software Sales and leadership roles for over 25 years and was also Managing Director of Tertio Telecoms Division which was a Sunday Times Fastrack 100 company and was sold to Advent International and Apax Partners. Rhett has an honours degree in engineering.
Chris Nowell, VP Customer Success
Chris joined Zynstra in 2013 to provide global leadership to its Customer Success team that is responsible for the delivery of deployment, support and operational services that ensure customer success, from order placement to contract renewal.
Prior to Zynstra, Chris built from the ground-up the EMEA professional services teams of two of the world’s most successful Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) vendors in the last decade, Successfactors and RightNow Technologies, and led these teams through to each company’s exit, to SAP and Oracle respectively, in both cases for multi-billion dollar values.
Before working within the SaaS space, Chris built a technical career in the development of ground-breaking distributed database systems and then held programme management roles and led a Software Engineering practice for one of Europe’s leading Management Consultancies, The PA Consulting Group.
Gus Neil, Group Finance Director
Gus is Group FD of Zynstra, leading all aspects of finance worldwide. Prior to joining Zynstra, Gus ran his own business supporting venture backed technology start-ups with outsourced finance solutions and part-time / interim FD’s.
Over the last 7 years, Gus has worked in both the venture capital industry, and for a number of vc-backed tech start-ups, after leaving EY where he qualified as an accountant.
Roger Sowerbutts, VP EMEA
Roger runs EMEA sales, channel, pre-sales engineering and field marketing for Zynstra.
Prior to Zynstra Roger has over 20 years running sales, consulting and channel for HP, Microsoft and Insight enterprises where he was VP EMEA. He also built and ran his own datacentre and enterprise consulting business from scratch to trade sale.
Gavin Bisdee, VP Global Marketing
Gavin heads up global marketing at Zynstra and brings extensive experience in developing marketing strategies to build brands and develop new growth for technology businesses.
Gavin joined Zynstra from leading cloud-based email security company Mimecast, where he served as Group Marketing Director and was responsible for the development and co-ordination of group marketing strategy across core regions: UK, South Africa and US. Prior to Mimecast he has spent over 20 years in developing go-to-market strategies for a number of companies, including start-ups that have gone on to be acquired or IPO.
Andrew Morlidge, VP Americas
Andrew runs the Americas business for Zynstra. Prior to Zynstra, Andrew spent 14 years at Microsoft in a variety of sales and business development roles. Most recently as lead for the WW Channel Sales & Software Reseller businesses with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
A native of the UK, Andrew joined Microsoft as the Global Account Director for British Telecom instigating the board level relationship that has resulted in one of the closest partnerships and the largest customer spend in Microsoft UK. Prior to Microsoft, Andrew lived & worked in the UK and subsequently the Middle East for IBM and Logica running sales in the banking and telecommunications sectors.
